Peter Helmore

My background commenced in Fitting and Turning and moved to Industrial Engineering within the manufacturing industry.  I entered the Recruitment / Human Resources field in 1982  and soon discovered that I enjoyed recruiting quality candidates who provided companies the opportunity to improve business performance without large capital expenditure costs.

During that time I was involved in 2 M/A processes for a multinational manufacturing organisation and was involved in seeing the business double in size over a short period of  time.  This growth required significant people management strategies which included the full range of skills including Talent acquisition, OHS and Industrial Relations.

Following this period I spent the next 20 years or so in the labour hire / recruitment industry. For more than half that time ran and operated  my own successful labour hire business.

I joined the Greater Dandenong Chamber of Commerce in 1998 and held the role of President in 2 periods for a total of 5 years before leaving the Executive committee in Dec 2021. Since that time I have been active in developing a new business.
