After having to cancel our February date due to Victoria's "Snap Lockdown", we had a beautiful day for our rescheduled event held during Harmony Week in March.
We met in Harmony Square where Romal, our tour guide, told us a little bit about where we were going and the things we were going to see. We travelled down the Afghan District and then onto Little India before our final stop, Pamir Restaraunt on Lonsdale Street.
Dinner was kicked off with a little bit of Dandenong trivia we learnt during our tour and was delicious! If you haven't had Afghan food before, we highly recommend you head to Pamir and give it a go! During dinner, there was plenty of time to get to know those on your table over a few drinks and although everyone was full from the huge servings, dessert followed just a few doors down at Augustus Gelatory.
We are SO excited to be able to kick off 2021 with a cultural tour of Dandenong followed by dinner and dessert with the help of the Dandenong Council and some fantastic businesses within Dandenong!
Join us at Harmony Square, our meeting place, where our tour guide will then take us on a walk around Dandenong. Before departing, you’ll be gifted a tour bag if you would like to make purchases while visiting some of the shops along the way. You will see cultural precincts including the Afghan precinct on Thomas Street and the Little India Precinct on Foster Street.
Following our tour, enjoy a main meal at a traditional Afghan restaurant in Dandenong with plenty of time for networking both during the tour and at dinner. Make sure you keep an ear out as we’ll be giving away three double passes for a food and cultural tour in Springvale! (conditions apply)
As our thank you for joining us, we’ll conclude the night with dessert at Augustus Gelatery.
