There has never been a better time to join the Greater Dandenong Chamber of Commerce – one of the fastest growing networking groups in Melbourne. This year will be one growth, development of new member services and products, and improved value for business owners and leaders at every level. Be our business partner and find mutually supportive avenues for your business journey.
Statement of Intent
The Chamber values members and guests alike. We are focused now, more than ever on participants having novel, creative and connection-rich experiences as they forge genuine business relationships. So, we are keen to hear your thoughts – be it constructive criticism (tell us how we can improve), or a favourable mention in socials or to your other networks.
Etiquette for new networkers
Every business has needs and agendas. The way this is communicated, can result in one of two outcomes, a connection and referrals, or a lost opportunity.
Our tips for effective networking are:
In the past, some of the Chamber offerings included the circulation of contact details, by consenting event attendees. The Chamber encourages business representatives to send respectful, targeted and mutual interest-in-common communications as a consequence of genuine connection.
The Chamber does not encourage, appreciate or align itself to businesses who are not acting in the spirit of respectful business etiquette. For example, businesses that send blanket and/or spam emails, with the intent to solicit business, membership or funds from uninterested and unsuspecting parties.
Behavioural expectations for all
Chamber members and guests should conduct themselves in a professional manner whilst attending Chamber events.
Contact details may be obtained from other members and guests for legitimate network connections. Overuse and abuse of these details will not be tolerated, and may result in privilege loss.
Your image and your permission
Webinars will be recorded, and may be used in their entirety, or part thereof, on the Chamber YouTube Channel and/or other marketing purposes. By having the camera on during the recording you are consenting to your image being used in the context of audio, video and photo stills.
