Chamber appoints first CEO
The Greater Dandenong Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that following two years as President, Lisa Moore has been appointed CEO, effective 16 August 2022. Lisa was the natural choice for the position, with an established career in new program start-ups, international commercial projects, large government contracts, wellbeing and executive roles. “Lisa being appointed CEO represents exciting times ahead, placing the spotlight on the Greater Dandenong Region as the place to be for business” says Chamber President Ross Raymond of Ashfords Accountants and Advisory.
With Lisa's appointment, members can expect a developed strategy regarding the Chamber's core values. Connecting members and driving community collaboration with South East businesses is a vital area of growth built upon the Chamber’s 75-year history. Encouraging and supporting members to make a lasting difference to the South-East business landscape.
Chamber President Ross Raymond confirms the Chamber is "keen to partner; to change the way business groups work together, and refocus attention on the South East". With a strong line-up of committee members and partners across Greater Dandenong, including Amazon, NAB, Ashfords, Wallara, Alstom, Brick Lane Brewery and Patterson Cheney Toyota, the Chamber is well-positioned to support, connect and advocate for businesses.
As CEO, Lisa aims to foster sustainable growth of the Chamber. From engaging with a strong and diverse member base, to developing business training and support programs. Maintaining the legacy of value provided to Chamber members throughout its history is a prime focus for Lisa. An example of such legacy growth lies in the new South East Business Awards, which has been developed from Greater Dandenong to represent and identify the incredible business achievements of the entirety of Melbourne’s South-East.
"We are just getting started. We have a broader vision to support the connection of businesses across the South East. By respecting existing groups, connecting silos, and reducing barriers to engagement, we can improve the cross-fertilisation of ideas." says CEO Lisa Moore.
